Mohamed Chebaro, Jury Head

Mohamed Chebaro is a British-Lebanese journalist with more than 25-years experience covering war, terrorism, defense, current affairs, and diplomacy. He has worked as a correspondent across a range of media outlets, from television to radio to print, and has covered war, genocide, and forced migration. He closely witnessed the rise of political Islam in the Middle East as well as radicalization in Europe, and has reported on the root causes of conflicts and terror. Chebaro has also developed a media consultancy company that trains and advises governments, the military, executives and media outlets on how to deal with shifting trends in communications in the Middle East and the wider world.

Chebaro completed his studies in Politics at the American University of Beirut, and then went on to complete his post graduate studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London.
